San Diego Legion Foundation to host All Blacks, Flying Fijians fundraiser

By SDCN Editor

San Diego, CA–The San Diego Legion Community Foundation, in partnership with the globally acclaimed All Blacks and the Flying Fijians, will present the All Blacks & Flying Fijians Cocktail Party and Fundraiser.

Hosted by Imagine Rugby, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting rugby among youth nationwide, the event will take place on July 17 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Del Mar Social, 3444 Tripp Court, Suite A2 in San Diego.

Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with entertainment, and fine dining to support children’s lives through rugby.

The event aims to raise funds for Imagine Rugby, a groundbreaking program that introduces the sport of rugby to children via school-based flag rugby initiatives. Imagine Rugby has reached over 350,000 students in 650 schools across the country, and in San Diego County, positively affecting more than 30,000 students.

The gala will feature Polynesian fire dancers and drummers, live music by Sammy J and DJ Akrite, a meet and greet with coaches and players from the All Blacks, Flying Fijians, and San Diego Legion, a silent auction, and a Mediterranean dinner. Soft drinks, beer, wine, and other beverages will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $125 (includes dinner with vegan options). Parking is available on-site.

New Zealand and Fiji will face off for the first time on American soil at San Diego’s Snapdragon Stadium. The game will take place on July 19 at 7:30 p.m.
