San Diego, CA–The San Diego Padres announced plans surrounding Hispanic Heritage Weekend presented by Blue Shield of California beginning September 25 through September 27.
The Padres are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month over the course of their three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks culminating on Sunday with a postgame concert presented by Coca-Cola in Gallagher Square featuring Los Tucanes de Tijuana (special Theme Game ticket required). Limited tickets remain for the Padres’ final series of the 2026 regular season.
The celebration starts this Friday with Fiesta in the Park presented by Pacifico prior to the game between the Padres and Diamondbacks. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., fans can enjoy a pregame fiesta featuring Latin music along with drink specials starting at $5 in Gallagher Square.
The party runs until first pitch scheduled for 6:40 p.m. and includes other entertainment elements. During the pregame ceremonies, the legendary Spanish voice of the Padres, Eduardo Ortega, will announce the game’s starting lineups in Spanish accompanied by a mariachi band. Padres players and coaches will represent their respective countries during a special pregame ceremony.
The Padres will also don their new City Connect 2.0 uniforms that evening, which celebrate and honor the traditions and families of the binational community in which we live. Fans have the opportunity to take home a piece of history by bidding on City Connect jerseys worn by Padres players during the annual Shirts Off Their Backs fundraiser, presented by Sycuan Casino Resort.
The Padres will also announce the five recipients of the 15th annual Comunidad Awards during Friday’s pregame ceremonies, which recognize and pay tribute to individuals or organizations whose work has made a positive impact on those who live and work in San Diego’s Hispanic community. The 2026 recipients and charitable organizations receiving $5,000 each from the Padres in their honor include Gloria Corral (Reality Changers), Angelica Gómez Maldonado (Build a Miracle), Gaby Millán (Teens Rise Foundation), Elsa Morales-Roth (Emilio Nares Foundation), and Raul Romero (Challenged Athletes Foundation).
The festivities continue on September 26 with dedicated in-game entertainment featuring Latin music and mariachis. As part of the pregame ceremonies, Padres pitcher Jason Adam will be recognized as the club’s Roberto Clemente Award nominee. Ortega will return once again to recite the starting lineup in Spanish.
The weekend wraps up on September 27 with the final KidsFest of the season presented by Nuna. The family-friendly event offers games, inflatables, balloon artists and other activities beginning two and a half hours prior to first pitch. Following the conclusion of the

A special Hispanic Heritage Weekend Theme Game ticket package is also available Friday and Saturday and includes a limited-edition Hispanic Heritage Padres themed hat. Those looking to attend the Los Tucanes de Tijuana concert must select a theme package for Sunday’s date.
