Oceanside, CA–The Oceanside Turkey Trot will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Thanksgiving Day, continuing a beloved holiday tradition that draws thousands of runners and walkers to downtown Oceanside each year.
This year’s 5K run and walk is expected to draw participants from 46 states and more than 500 cities. Many attendees embrace the festive spirit by wearing colorful, Thanksgiving-themed costumes.
The event’s scenic beachside course kicks off early, with the first 5K beginning at 6:45 a.m., followed by the main 5K at 8:05 a.m. The Kids Run will take place at 10 a.m. All races start on 330 North Coast Highway and finish behind the Oceanside Amphitheater along The Strand.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the San Diego Food Bank and other local nonprofits, continuing the Trot’s long-standing commitment to giving back to the community.
