Oceanside, CA–Triumph Foundation’s second annual Beachside Blast, an adaptive sports and community event taking place on June 14, returns to the Junior Seau Beach Community Center in Oceanside.

Organizers say the Beachside Blast will bring together individuals with disabilities, families, athletes, volunteers, and community members for a full day of inclusive recreation and empowerment.

The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is open to the public. Participants will have the opportunity to experience adaptive sports including wheelchair rugby, power soccer, wheelchair basketball clinics, and inclusive dance activities. People with and without disabilities are encouraged to participate together in all activities. Sports wheelchairs and equipment will be provided, along with coaches and instructors to help participants learn and play.

Triumph Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities, is hosting this event in partnership with San Diego Power Soccer, Roll to Success, Oceanside Parks and Recreation, and Spinal Network.

“Beachside Blast is about creating opportunities for people of all abilities to come together, get active, and build meaningful connections,” said Andrew Skinner, founder of Triumph Foundation. “Whether someone is newly injured, a seasoned adaptive athlete, or simply curious to try something new, this event is designed to inspire confidence, community, and momentum.”

In addition to sports activities, the event will feature a community resource fair connecting attendees with organizations, services, and support resources for people living with disabilities.

Beachside Blast builds on the momentum of Triumph Foundation’s growing adaptive recreation programs. The organization’s inaugural Beachside Blast event last year brought together more than 100 athletes, families, and supporters. Event organizers expect more than 200 community members to attend this year’s event in a celebration of inclusion, sports, and community.

Registration is required for all attendees, including athletes, friends, and family members. To register for the event, click here, or email at info@Trimuph-Foundation.org.
