ALPINE–A woman accused of domestic violence on her husband on Monday barricaded herself inside their apartment complex in Alpine, according to the Sheriff’s department.

On March 5, just before 9 p.m. hours, Alpine deputies received a radio call of a domestic violence incident in the 2600 block of Alpine Blvd. Sheriff’s dispatch  advised that the suspect later identified as Erin Cutter had assaulted her husband after he attempted to remove two shotguns from their bedroom.

The family feared Cutter was a threat to herself. Deputies learned that Cutter had barricaded herself in an upstairs bedroom where there were two shotguns, a handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

A Crisis Negotiations Team was called to the scene to attempt negotiations with Cutter. After numerous failed attempts of having Cutter peaceful surrender to authorities, Sheriff’s deputies entered the residence and took Cutter into custody. She sustained no injuries during the incident and no deputies were hurt.

Two shotguns, a handgun, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were removed from the residence. Cutter was transported and booked into the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility on charges of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
