Oceanside, CA–Three adults Tuesday morning were displaced from their home after a structure fire damaged a garage in Oceanside, according to the Oceanside Fire Department.
No civilians were injured in the blaze, though one firefighter suffered a minor injury.
Oceanside firefighters responded to a 1:58 a.m. report of a structure fire at a garage on Juaneno Avenue. They contained the fire to the garage and prevented any extension to the living space of the home. The garage was extremely full of belongings, including a vehicle, which forced the crews to perform extensive overhaul to ensure all the hot spots had been extinguished prior to their departure. The fire was contained within 16 minutes and crews remained on the scene to overhaul for two hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Oceanside Fire Department investigators.
