San Diego, CA–The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Red Flag Warning to communities in the inland valleys and mountains this week in San Diego County.
Strong gusty winds from the northeast to east and low humidity are expected from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. According to meteorologists at the National Weather Service Office, these winds create fire weather conditions for the region.
The County of San Diego urges residents in the affected areas to prepare for possible power outages and evacuations. Residents can register their cell phones with AlertSanDiego.org, the notification system first responders use to alert the community. People may also register their VoIP phone numbers or emails.
