Carlsbad, CA–A 22-year-old man early Sunday morning suffered a gunshot wound at a party at a Carlsbad resort, Carlsbad Police Department said Sunday afternoon.
Carlsbad Fire Department medics provided medical aid at the scene and transported the victim to a local area hospital where he was in stable condition.
A 19-year-old Mississippi man was taken into custody on unrelated gun charges, according to Jodee Reyes, Public Information Officer of the Carlsbad Police Department.
Carlsbad police responded to a 2:15 a.m. report of shots fired at the MarBrisa Carlsbad Resort, located in the 1500 block of Marbrisa Circle.
Investigators interviewed several witnesses and collected evidence at the party. The incident is under investigation.
