SAN DIEGO–Sheriff Bill Gore took the oath of office for a four-year term Monday during a joint swearing in ceremony at the County Administration Center.  

Sheriff Gore was sworn in by Superior Court Judge Kevin Enright.

He is the 29th Sheriff in San Diego county history.  He was re-elected as the county’s chief law enforcement officer in June 2018.  Sheriff Gore oversees the department’s 4,404 employees and an annual budget of more than $902 million.
