OCEANSIDE–One man was shot and a juvenile injured in a physical altercation Thursday evening in Oceanside.
Oceanside police officers say a male was shot in the area of State Route 76 and Frazee Road. Officers arrived on scene and found a 17 year-old male on the southeast corner of SR-76 and Frazee. The juvenile had sustained contusions to his facial area. A witness on scene stated he observed the juvenile being assaulted by three individuals and was pushed in front of his vehicle. His injuries sustained from being pushed were considered to be minor. A second victim, a 21 year-old male, was located in the same area. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
Officers checked the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them.
Both victims were airlifted to a local area hospital where they are listed as being in critical condition.
The investigation of the shooting is ongoing.
