The victim, 45-year-old Chad Danielson, was described as a family man and a beloved PE teacher at the campus.

Oceanside Unified School District Superintendent, Dr. Julie Vitale released a statement about the death of Danielson:

“An incredible teacher at Jefferson Middle School who worked hard to develop meaningful relationships with his students. His positivity and genuine care for his students was evident on a daily basis.” Based on information we have received, it appears Danielson was well respected by school staff and loved by all of his students.”
