Oceanside, CA–Two men were arrested Wednesday after a narcotics search warrant was executed in Vista by the Oceanside Police Department, authorities said.
The operation involved the department’s SWAT team, Crisis Negotiations Team, and Unmanned Aircraft System. It stemmed from a routine traffic stop conducted by the department’s Gang Suppression Unit, during which officers discovered narcotics in the vehicle. Suspecting the driver was involved in drug sales in Oceanside, the case was referred to the Narcotics Unit for further investigation.
Following the investigation, search warrants were obtained for the suspect’s vehicle and residence. During the searches, officers seized three firearms, approximately one pound of suspected methamphetamine, one ounce of suspected cocaine, and $5,700 in cash believed to be drug-related proceeds. Additionally, authorities found marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms intended for sale.
George Luis Antonio, 23, and his brother, Jesus Amador, 28, were taken into custody on multiple charges related to drug sales and illegal firearms possession. Both were booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
