Oceanside, CA–North County Transit – San Diego Railroad (NCTD), Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), and the San Diego County Fair are teaming up to bring back the popular Fair Tripper, offering a convenient and affordable way to enjoy the Fair.
With Fair Tripper, fairgoers can avoid parking hassles and get dropped off directly at the fair entrance, all while receiving up to 43% off.
The Fair Tripper is a combo ticket that includes admission to the San Diego County Fair, a round-trip ride on NCTD Coaster, Sprinter, Breeze, MTS Trolley, and bus, and a free shuttle ride to and from the Solana Beach Coaster Station to the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Fair Tripper tickets are available for day-of-use sale only and can be purchased through the Pronto mobile app or at any NCTD or MTS ticket vending machine found at Coaster, Sprinter, and Trolley stations. No advance sale is required.
Riders can take the MTS Trolley and transfer from the UC San Diego Blue Line or the Green Line to the Coaster at Santa Fe Depot or Old Town Transit Center. Ride the Coaster to the Solana Beach Coaster Station, then take the free shuttle directly to the fairgrounds.
The ADA-accessible shuttles run continuously from the Solana Beach Coaster station and arrive approximately every 15 to 20 minutes to meet Coaster departures and arrivals.
From Breeze Route 308, riders can get off at Via De La Valle and Valley Avenue and access the Fair from the front entrance.
The Fair runs from June 11 through July 6 and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
In honor of Juneteenth, a special promotion will be offered on Thursday, June 19. Fairgoers can receive $5 off Fair Tripper tickets that are purchased and valid for the same day. Adult Fair Tripper tickets will be available for only $15, and senior and youth tickets will be offered at a discounted rate of $12.
