Oceanside, CA–A resident was rescued after a fire broke out at their two-story home near the beach in Oceanside on Tuesday morning, fire officials said.
The Oceanside and Carlsbad Fire Departments were dispatched to the second story home located on South Pacific Street and Hayes, near the beach, led to a rescue operation.
The victim was rescued from the engulfed second story. The individual was promptly transported to the burn center at UCSD. While the victim’s condition remains undisclosed, they were conscious and alert during transport, having suffered burns and smoke inhalation.
Despite the fire being confined to two rooms, the cause remains under investigation by Oceanside Fire Department investigators.
Authorities urge residents to prioritize fire safety, including the installation of smoke detectors and the development of evacuation plans.
