Escondido, CA–Lake Wohlford Road will close to through traffic next month as part of the City of Escondido’s annual maintenance program.
According to city officials, the closure will take place between Lake Wohlford Court and the JEB Sand and Gravel Quarry entrance from November 12 through November 21, on weekdays only. The road will reopen to traffic on Saturdays and Sundays during that period.
Crews will conduct repairs to the roadway, signage, striping, K-rails, and drainage systems to improve driving conditions, enhance safety, and extend the pavement’s lifespan.
Local businesses and facilities along Lake Wohlford Road will remain open, with access maintained through a posted detour. City officials advise motorists to expect traffic delays in the area during construction.
