LEMON GROVE–The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed an autopsy of a man found fatally shot March 9 in Lemon Grove.

The victim’s death was ruled a homicide, caused by gunshot. The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Henry Weaver Jr. of El Cajon.

Last Saturday’s shooting left one man dead and another man seriously injured in a Lemon Grove neighborhood, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department said.

Sheriff’s deputies were flagged down by a person reporting a shooting had in the area of Olive Street and Main Street. At the same time, deputies also received 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting in the area. Deputies found an adult male on the ground with severe injuries and began life saving measures. The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, but was pronounced dead at 8:43 p.m.

A second injured adult male was found in the area and had been apparently shot in the lower leg area. That man was treated and released by hospital staff.

The Sheriff’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
