SANTEE–Authorities are searching for a male driver suspected of enticing two juveniles to enter his vehicle.
On Saturday, shortly 4:27 p.m., an unknown male drove up to two juveniles while they were playing in front of a residence on Stoney Creek Court in Santee. The man told the two juveniles that he was giving away free books and told them to go inside the back of the van and grab them, Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sergeant Jason Stein said.
The juveniles went into their residence and told their parents about their interaction with the man.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area and were unable to locate the man.
He was described as an Asian male in this 50’s, with a thin build, gray hair, wearing a blue hat and a yellow construction vest.
He was last seen driving a gray, late 80’s or early 90’s model minivan that had a dark charcoal stripe around the van.
