LAKESIDE–The Medical Examiner’s Office released the name of a man found fatally stabbed on Tuesday inside a condominium in Lakeside.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Anderson Lopes. He was an active-duty member of the United States Navy.

The cause of death was determined to be stab wounds and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Just after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, deputies from the Lakeside Sheriff’s Substation responded to a 9-1-1 call from a woman who said her husband was injured and not breathing after being assaulted inside their condominium. The male victim was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital by Lakeside Fire personnel, but later died of his injuries.

During the preliminary investigation by deputies, they determined the victim and his wife had both apparently been stabbed. Deputies detained a man at the scene, and identified him as twenty-six-year-old Dylan Poston, of San Diego.

Dylan Poston has since been arrested and booked into the San Diego Central Jail, where he is currently being held without bail for one count of murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
