SANTEE–Authorities are investigating human remains found by hikers Wednesday on a nearby trail in Santee.
Sheriff’s deputies responded, just after 4 p.m., to a report of the remains in the 11000 block of Summit Avenue in Santee.
Homicide detectives will coordinate with the Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the remains and determine cause and manner of death.
