El Cajon, CA–A homeless man was taken into custody on suspicion of an alleged sexual assault on a woman at the El Cajon Transit Center, authorities said.

On November 20, El Cajon police responded to the El Cajon Transit Center, just before 6 p.m., to investigate a possible sexual assault. When they arrived on the scene, officers learned an MTS security guard had detained a man, and was also with the victim. 

Officers spoke with the victim who said she was held against her will by the man, who had also kissed, groped, and sexually assaulted her. 

According to the El Cajon Police Department, the suspect was identified as Travis Bondurant, a 49-year-old San Diego man who is currently homeless in El Cajon. He has a lengthy arrest history dating back to 1996. Officers also discovered Bondurant had not been reporting to his parole agent as required.

Bondurant was booked into County Jail for sexual penetration with a foreign object, kidnapping to commit rape, sexual battery, and the parole violation.
