SAN DIEGO–A freight train fatally struck a pedestrian at the Old Town Transit Station in San Diego on Saturday evening, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
At approximately 9:25 p.m., deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Department Transit Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by an BNSF freight train
When deputies arrived at the scene of the collision, the victim was deceased. Deputies are investigating the incident and the manner of death will be determined by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
