Pala Mesa, CA–Firefighters are battling a 350 acres vegetation fire that erupted Wednesday afternoon in Pala Mesa.
The blaze, dubbed the Mesa Fire, is 0% contained with a slow rate of spread, according to Cal Fire San Diego.
Fire crews responded to the flames just after 2 p.m. about a mile west of Pala Temecula Road in Pala Mesa.
Highway 76 was temporarily closed from Horse Creek Ranch to Pala Casino to allow fire crews to contain the fire. Highway 76 has since reopened to all traffic, and evacuation warnings have been lifted.
Firefighters will be working through the night, so drive cautiously when in the area.
