LA MESA–An elderly couple was found shot Monday in their home in the unincorporated area of La Mesa, authorities said.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 4900 block of Resmar Road to check the welfare of an elderly couple who lived at the location. A family member became concerned about the couple after not hearing from them for several days.
Deputies entered the residence and found an elderly male and an elderly female who had been shot. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is on-going, but no suspects are believed to be outstanding.
