EL CAJON–Two elderly couple Saturday were found dead in their El Cajon home, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Shortly after 8 a.m., Alpine Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of two bodies found inside a residence on Toya Lane in El Cajon.
When deputies entered the home they found an elderly white male and elderly white female, both were deceased. Both had traumatic injuries. The couple was found by an in-home caregiver, Sheriff’s Department spokesman Lt. Rich Williams said.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies to determine the cause and manner of the deaths.
The Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
