San Diego, CA–Fans of “Twisted Metal” packed Ballroom 20 at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday for an exclusive first look at Season 2 of the action-comedy series, just days before the first three episodes premiere on Peacock on July 31.
Executive producers Michael Jonathan Smith, Asad Qizilbash (PlayStation Productions), and cast members Anthony Mackie (who also serves as an executive producer), Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, and Anthony Carrigan were on hand to tease what’s in store. Attendees were treated to adrenaline-filled sneak peeks and insight into the show’s wild second season.
After the panel, the cast rolled into the Twisted Metal Bumper Battle activation, where they hopped into reimagined bumper car versions of the show’s most iconic vehicles for a derby-style event hosted by “Calypso.” Mackie and Beatriz surprised fans by giving away PlayStation 5 consoles to several lucky participants.
Also joining the festivities were cast members Mike Mitchell (Stu), Saylor Bell Curda (Mayhem), Patty Guggenheim (Raven), and Tiana Okoye (Dollface).
Following the revelations in the season one finale, John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly “Twisted Metal” tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso. As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.
“Twisted Metal” Season 2 premieres with three episodes on July 31 on Peacock, with new episodes dropping every Thursday through August 28.
