Hollywood Records has dropped a fresh 3-track EP from Fox’s Emmy-winning animated series, Bob’s Burgers, titled “Open Mic Night at Bob’s Burgers.”
This release brings devoted fans back into the show’s quirky universe with tracks from the “Hope N’ Mic Night” episode. The EP includes two classic covers sung by the show’s beloved cast—“.38 Special’s “Hold on Loosely” and “Seabird” by the Alessi Brothers—alongside an original song, “Draw a Face on Your Butt,” written by creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard.
In the episode, the Belcher kids try to stage an open mic night at the family’s restaurant, but escalating expenses start to stress out Bob, who fears the event could financially strain them. The EP captures the show’s trademark humor and warmth, translating it into musical form for a playful, memorable listening experience. Available now on all digital streaming platforms, “Open Mic Night at Bob’s Burgers” is another addition to the show’s unique musical catalog.
Bob’s Burgers follows the Belcher family: Bob (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin), Linda (John Roberts), and their three children—Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Louise (Kristen Schaal)—as they navigate life and adventures in their New Jersey seaside burger joint. This season’s stories include Bob confronting his fears to participate in a father-daughter boogie boarding contest with Louise, Tina taking on the anonymous “Ask an Eighth Grader” advice column, and the family’s attempts to secure two months’ free rent by catering an event for their landlord, Mr. Fischoeder.
The series, produced by 20th Television Animation and airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox and available the next day on Hulu, was created and executive-produced by Loren Bouchard. It also features a team of executive producers, including Nora Smith, Dan Fybel, Rich Rinaldi, and others, with co-development by Jim Dauterive.
