San Diego, CA–Good Vibez Presents, the team behind Monterey’s renowned California Roots Music and Arts Festival, has announced the arrival of the Holo Holo Music Festival to San Diego’s Thrive Park at Snapdragon Stadium on July 13 and 14.
The exciting event promises two days of island and reggae music, delectable food, and an opportunity for friends and families to unite in a vibrant celebration of music and culture.
San Diego will host this musical extravaganza, following successful stints in Northern California in 2022, Las Vegas in 2023, and Sacramento in September of the same year.
“Holo Holo,” a Hawaiian term meaning “to travel, to sail, to move,” encapsulates the festival’s essence.
According to O‘ahu-born Good Vibez co-owner, Dan Sheehan, the name reflects the event’s spirit of adventure and exploration.
“This familiar expression is most often heard between friends as in ‘let’s holo holo up country,'” Sheehan explains, shedding light on the festival’s origins.
Grammy-nominated singer J Boog will take the stage on July 13, alongside his mentor, island reggae icon FIJI. The following day will see Maui-formed country reggae stars Maoli and New Zealand’s roots rock mainstays Katchafire captivating audiences with their electrifying performances.
Following the festival, on July 19 at 7:30 p.m., fans can return to Snapdragon Stadium to witness a historic moment in World Rugby as New Zealand and Fiji face off for the first time in America.
With such a stellar lineup and an atmosphere charged with positive energy, the Holo Holo Music Festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers and families alike. Mark your calendars and get ready to immerse yourself in a weekend filled with great music, delicious food, and unforgettable memories.
