Two-time Grammy award winning artist Jason Mraz is ready to spread some holiday cheer – the singer and songwriter released “Snow in San Diego,” a new original holiday single.
As a holiday surprise, a second original song, the cheeky “Money!” also arrived. “Money!” is the B-side of a 7” vinyl single available only on Mraz’s website.
“‘Snow in San Diego’ is one of those ‘I’ll love you forever’ kind of songs, set within the historical and tropical scenery of my home, San Diego,” he continues. “The songs are intended to bring joy and familiarity, holiday warmth with a wink. I promise it’s heartfelt, and also a little ridiculous.”
Mraz will debut “Snow in San Diego” at the 25th Annual Christmas at The Grove Tree Lighting Celebration on November 16 in Los Angeles before a very special hometown appearance with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra December 18-20 at “Noel Noel,” their annual holiday concert at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
In addition to his West Coast performances, Mraz will meet fans in the Big Apple at an in-store performance and signing at Rough Trade on Tuesday, December 1 in New York City. The following day on December 2, he’ll perform “Snow in San Diego” live on ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Mark.”
While in New York City, Mraz will meet one lucky fan for a coffee date at SiriusXM for WhyHunger’s 41st annual Hungerthon, raising funds and awareness to end hunger and the injustices that cause it. Supporters can bid on exclusive celebrity items through and sign up there for updates. In 2018, WhyHunger honored Mraz’s commitment to building a just, hunger free world with the 2018 ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award. In the last five years, WhyHunger has connected 6.6 million people to food and invested $9.6 million in community-led solutions in the United States and 24 countries around the globe.
