San Jose, CA–eigoMANGA is coming to San Diego Comic-Con International with Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox next week to exhibit, and host panels that showcase their productions of comics, animation, games, and mobile apps.

eigoMANGA, a media company for publishing digital comics, animation, and games, will feature Fox’s basketball manga-influenced comic book, “Swipa The Fox.” The company will be located at Booth #1802 in the Exhibit Hall.

Fox, drafted 5th overall in the 2017 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings quickly rose to become the Kings’ franchise player and team leader. He will be signing autographs and meeting fans at eigoMANGA Booth #5532 on July 23 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. He will also be on the “NBA Players Are Anime Fans Too” panel on Saturday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. in Room 6BCF.

The panel will discuss Fox’s fandom for anime, and manga, and how it intertwines with his basketball career. He will be joined by his “Swipa The Fox” comic book creative team to discuss the fundamentals of writing comic books centered around basketball.

“Swipa The Fox” is a manga-influenced comic book about Fox accidentally venturing into a basketball video game while his video game avatar causes havoc in the real world. Fox has to harness all of his world-class basketball skills to play his way out of the digital game and return to reality.

eigoMANGA will also hold two live manga workshops on July 19 from 2 to 3 p.m. in Room 11.  The team will present a “How To Draw Manga” workshop, and editors will hold a tutorial workshop to teach the fundamentals of manga illustration and storytelling. They will also be on hand to critique portfolios from up-and-coming artists.

On July 24, eigoMANGA will instruct a “Manga Tutorials for Kids” workshop. The program will run from 10 to 11 a.m. in Room 11. It will be moderated by eigoMANGA’s team of manga artists and animators as they offer kids of all ages tutorials on manga illustrations and storytelling.

San Diego Comic-Con, one of the nation’s largest comic book and science fiction pop culture events, will take place from July 21 to 24 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego.
