Marriott International recently celebrated the 2024 J. Willard Marriott Awards of Excellence during its annual ceremony, uniting associates from across the globe.
These prestigious awards, established in 1987 and named after Marriott’s founder, recognize outstanding associates for their achievements, service mindset, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
At the ceremony, 10 individual winners, three Marriott properties, and two Marriott Business Councils shared their remarkable stories with fellow associates and Marriott leadership. The awards spotlight various areas, including exceptional community engagement, workplace inclusion initiatives, embodiment of the company’s core values, innovation, empowerment of future leaders, and fostering a TakeCare culture that promotes physical, mental, and financial well-being.
Anthony Capuano, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International, expressed his admiration for this year’s honorees: “The incredible stories and exemplary character of our Awards of Excellence winners inspire us all. They embody our company values and serve as a shining example of service excellence. I am immensely proud of their remarkable accomplishments.”
The celebration commenced with Mr. Capuano, Chairman of the Board David Marriott, and Board Member and Global Cultural Ambassador Emeritus Debbie Marriott Harrison as the event’s emcees.
