San Diego, CA–Diversified Restaurant Group, one of Taco Bell’s largest franchisees, has brought the brand’s Live Más Café concept to Carmel Mountain Ranch with a grand opening on Tuesday.
The event gave fans a first look at the café-style restaurant while offering live entertainment and special giveaways.
The Carmel Mountain Ranch location is the second Live Más Café in San Diego County, following the successful pilot in Chula Vista in 2024. Diversified Restaurant Group plans to operate 15 cafés across Southern California by the end of 2025, part of its strategy to expand Taco Bell concepts and create new ways to connect with guests.
“Our fan base in San Diego showed us how much they love the Live Más Café experience, and we’re excited to bring that same energy to Carmel Mountain Ranch,” said SG Ellison, CEO and president of Diversified Restaurant Group. “This concept gives our guests more reasons to visit Taco Bell, whether that’s for a favorite taco or a handcrafted drink.”
Live Más Café blends Taco Bell’s menu with an expanded beverage-forward experience designed to capture new dayparts and give guests more reasons to visit. Guests are greeted by “Bellristas,” who craft drinks ranging from indulgent Churro Chillers layered with churro crumbles, to Agua Refrescas in flavors like strawberry passionfruit and mango peach, to coffee beverages such as Mexican Mocha and Vanilla Crema. The menu also includes fan-favorites like dirty sodas.
Live Más Café locations are planned in Corona, Eastvale, Hemet, La Canada, Lake Forest, Lancaster, Newhall, Orange, Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, San Diego, Simi Valley, Temecula, and Yorba Linda.
