OCEANSIDE– Hospital, county, city and business leaders gathered to celebrate the opening of Kaiser Permanente’s new, state of the art medical office building that will provide care to North County residents.

The 21,531 square-foot, multi-service facility houses 12 provider offices including pediatric and primary care as well as a pharmacy, lab and radiology.

The new multi-service facility is part of Kaiser Permanente’s expansion plan to provide more access to care throughout San Diego County and was built from the ground up with sustainability and eco-effective design and operations in mind. There is low flow plumbing fixtures throughout, LED interior lighting, an abundance of natural light and natural ventilation. There is a stormwater system that will capture and treat stormwater onsite before entering storm drains. In addition to nine medical facilities in North County, the new Oceanside medical offices will provide convenience and access to Kaiser Permanente’s 157,000 members in North County, and allow for future expansion.

As with all Kaiser Permanente facilities, the Oceanside medical offices will feature Kaiser Permanente HealthConnect, the largest civilian electronic health record in the nation. HealthConnect provides members and their caregivers with instant, reliable access to their health records when they need it immediately. The medical offices opened to members on March 24.
