Lemon Grove, CA–A man died of a stab wound to the torso following a physical altercation Wednesday night with a group of people in Lemon Grove.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of people fighting around 10 p.m. in the 7700 block of North Avenue.
As deputies arrived on the scene, several people were detained. Deputies also located a 45 to a 50-year-old man with a stab wound. Paramedics arrived and transported the man to a local hospital. Despite efforts from hospital staff, the man was pronounced dead.
Detectives are investigating the connection between the victim and the individuals involved in the fight. The motivation and circumstances are still under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Department has not confirmed the victim’s identity.
