San Diego, CA–San Diego County Credit Union has announced its return as the title sponsor of the 13th SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl, which will return to San Diego this December.
The Poinsettia Bowl was a longtime December tradition in San Diego, bringing college football fans together and featuring teams from across the country. First played in 2005, the bowl will return in 2026 with a matchup between a Pac-12 team and a Power 4 opponent from the ACC, Big Ten or Big 12.
“We are proud to return as the title sponsor of the SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl and continue a partnership that brings our community together and creates a tremendous economic impact throughout the region,” said Teresa Campbell, president and CEO of SDCCU.
Campbell said the credit union is committed to investing in local people and organizations that contribute to the region’s growth. She said the partnership will support the local economy while creating an impact that extends beyond the football game.
“We’re thrilled to bring back the SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl,” said Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego. “SDCCU has been an incredible partner to Sports San Diego for many years and having them lead this comeback means everything to us. This game holds a special place in our community, and we can’t wait for its return at Snapdragon Stadium this December.”
The SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl is scheduled for Dec. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Snapdragon Stadium. The game will be broadcast nationally on The CW Network.
