EAST COUNTY–The Sheriff’s department conducted a warrant sweep in the east county that netted multiple arrests, according to authorities.

On December 16, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., the San Diego Sheriff’s Department’s Court Services Bureau-Field Unit conducted the sweep in Lemon Grove, La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, and surrounding areas.

The focus of the operation was on the apprehension of suspects with outstanding warrants regardless of charge or bail amount. Units also assisted the United States Secret Service with the apprehension of a subject wanted by them for an ongoing counterfeiting investigation. 

A total of 45 adults were arrested, and 59 warrants were cleared, according to the Sheriff’s department. 

Individuals who have outstanding warrants are encouraged to turn themselves in Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at any one of the Sheriff’s Court facilities.
