CARLSBAD–Detectives Tuesday are searching for two men who allegedly robbed a Verizon store in Carlsbad.
Carlsbad police says the armed robbery took place just after 7 p.m. at the Verizon store located at 880 Carlsbad Village Drive.
Two males entered the store, one male displayed a handgun and ordered the three employees to the back storeroom area. A third male joined the first two and loaded an undetermined number of cell phones into a bag. The employees were ordered to lay on the floor and the three males fled the area in an unknown direction of travel before officers arrived.
The suspects were described as black male adults, approximately 20 to 30 years-old. The first suspect is approximately six feet, three inches tall, and approximately weighs 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses.
The second male is approximately six feet, one inch tall, and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
The third suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket. The suspects fled the business on foot.
