San Diego, CA–San Diego police are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot a man in the upper leg while he was washing his hands in a restaurant bathroom Saturday, authorities said.

The incident occurred at Faridas Somali Cuisine located at 1754 Euclid Avenue in the Southeast area of San Diego.

The suspect reportedly opened the bathroom door, turned off the lights, and shot the 30-year-old victim in the leg. The suspect fled the restaurant after the shooting. 

Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital to receive treatment. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the San Diego Police Department.
