Lakeside, CA – Authorities have launched an investigation after a toddler was found dead in Lakeside on Saturday night.
Sheriff’s deputies responded at 8:53 p.m. to the 11600 block of Camino Del Tierra for a call of a toddler who was not breathing.
Lakeside Fire Department paramedics and deputies arrived at the location and performed life-saving measures on the toddler. The child was transported to the hospital but passed away.
Detectives are gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and examining the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
