Registered sex offender arrested for child pornography, drug possession

By SDCN Editor

El Cajon, CA– El Cajon police officers Wednesday arrested a registered sex offender for possessing child pornography and drugs.

Alexander Ingles, 37 who is currently homeless, and on probation for previous offenses related to child pornography and drug sales, was discovered sleeping in his vehicle when officers approached him. Upon learning of Ingles’ probation status, officers conducted a compliance search, uncovering graphic images of child pornography on his phone. Additionally, Ingles, an Escondido resident, was found to have a usable quantity of methamphetamine.

Ingles was booked into San Diego County Jail on multiple felony charges, including violating the terms of his probation.

The El Cajon Police Department is actively investigating the case, emphasizing the severity of the charges against Ingles and the importance of ensuring the safety of the community, particularly children.
