Lakeside, CA–The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that left a 24-year-old man hospitalized in Lakeside early Monday morning.
The incident occurred just after midnight in the 12000 block of Woodside Avenue.
Deputies responded to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition, the Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, preliminary findings suggest that the shooting took place in a restaurant parking lot near the location where the man was found. The identity of the shooter remains unknown, and authorities have not yet determined a motive for the attack.
The investigation remains ongoing.
