Heartland Firefighters host pancake breakfast fundraiser in La Mesa

By Gina Yarbrough

La Mesa, CA–The Heartland Firefighters of La Mesa invites the community to enjoy a hearty breakfast while supporting a good cause at their annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on June 8.

The event will take place at La Mesa Fire Station 11, located at 8034 Allison Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.

Attendees will be treated to a classic breakfast spread including pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, and orange juice. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Heartland Fire Explorers Program, which provides training and educational opportunities for young people interested in careers in fire and emergency services.

In addition to the meal, this year’s fundraiser will include emergency preparedness training for the public. Community members will have the opportunity to learn essential skills at various training stations, including CPR, basic first aid, and crime prevention techniques.

The event promises to be a fun and educational morning for the whole family, with a focus on building community connections and readiness for emergencies.
