SANTEE–A 46-year-old victim of a hit-and-run incident Wednesday has succumbed to her injuries, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The other victim, a 30-year-old female, has been released from the hospital.
On August 29, the Sheriff’s Department responded to a felony hit-and-run in the 10200 block of Molino Road, in the city of Santee. Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies found two women lying in the roadway, and according to witnesses, the suspect vehicle fled the scene. During the investigation, deputies were able to obtain the vehicle involved and arrested one 16-year-old male juvenile.
On August 31, another 16-year-old male juvenile, accompanied by his attorney, turned himself into the Sheriff’s Department. He was booked into Juvenile Hall on felony hit and run charges. Another suspect, a light skinned black male approximately 18-years- old, 6’1″, 140 pounds. is still outstanding.
The investigation is continuing.
