Rancho Santa Fe, CA–A woman was killed Friday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing El Camino Del Norte in Rancho Santa Fe, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision occurred at approximately 7:16 p.m. in the 2700 block of El Camino Del Norte. Deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
According to preliminary investigators, a man driving a 2025 Nissan Z was traveling westbound on El Camino Del Norte when his vehicle collided with a woman who was crossing the roadway.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene following the collision and was not injured.
Investigators said alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash. The collision remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
