Oceanside, CA–The Oceanside Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect vehicle, which fled the scene of the fatal hit-and-run collision on State Route 76 last weekend. 

The suspect vehicle in question is a silver 2013-2015 Kia Optima. Investigators believe the driver resides in the vicinity of the collision.

The vehicle is expected to show visible damage to its right front bumper, missing components from the engine undercover, and the right headlight, Oceanside police said.

On March 17, Oceanside police received a call about a bicyclist involved in a vehicle collision on SR-76 and Singh Way. Paramedics transferred the injured bicyclist to a local hospital where the victim succumbed to injuries while undergoing medical treatment.
