Vista, CA–A narcotics search warrant by Sheriff’s deputies led to the arrests of two people at a residence in Vista on Thursday authorities said.
Deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station’s Community Policing and Problem-Solving Unit executed the search warrant at 1 p.m. at a residence located in the 800 block of Wandering Road.
During the search, deputies discovered various illegal substances and firearms. The items seized included a registered Glock handgun, ammunition, Xanax pills, psilocybin mushrooms, approximately 12.99 grams of methamphetamine, and 22.26 grams of cocaine.
Two individuals, identified as 23-year-old Ruben Novellan Feliciano and 23-year-old Evelyn Gomez Herrera, were taken into custody. They are facing multiple charges, including child endangerment, sale of a controlled substance, sale of a narcotic controlled substance, and possession of a firearm with a controlled substance. Additionally, Herrera is facing a separate charge for being an addict in possession of a firearm.
Authorities also discovered children residing in the home during the operation. The San Diego County Child and Family Well-Being Department was contacted, and after a preliminary investigation, the children were placed with other family members to ensure their safety.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities gather further details about the suspects and the extent of their activities.
