Oceanside, CA–Firefighters responded Monday afternoon to a structure fire at a church property in Oceanside, fire officials said.
Fire crews from the Oceanside and Vista Fire Departments received calls at about 5:08 p.m. to a reported blaze at Community Lutheran Church, located off Mission Avenue.
When crews arrived, they found a stand-alone building on the church property was fully engulfed in flames. They quickly deployed hose lines and launched an aggressive fire attack, extinguishing the blaze in approximately 40 minutes.
The building was used as a residential unit and for additional storage. It was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
No injuries to civilians or fire crews were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
