Escondido, CA–The Escondido Police Department is currently investigating a fatal stabbing incident that occurred during a brawl involving multiple males on a street in Escondido Saturday night.
The Escondido Police Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in the 1000 block of North Ivy Street at 9:08 p.m.
Officers responded to the scene and found two men with stab wounds. Escondido Fire paramedics transported one victim to Palomar Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The second victim was taken to Sharp Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
According to Escondido police, a large group of males were engaged in a fight in the middle of the street before fleeing the scene before police arrival. The suspects remain unidentified, and no arrests have been made.
