Escondido, CA–A person was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday afternoon following a stabbing in Escondido, according to the Escondido Police Department.
Police dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a stabbing at about 2:25 p.m. in the 2400 block of Bear Valley Parkway. When officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult suffering from stab wounds.
Personnel from the Escondido Fire Department provided medical aid before transporting the victim to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said the victim remains in critical condition.
Detectives responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation. There are no ongoing threats to the community, the Escondido Police Department stated in a release.
