OCEANSIDE–Oceanside police is investigating the murder of a man found shot early Wednesday morning near Libby Lake Park.
The man’s body was found lying in the 500 block of Calle Montecito. The victim suffered trauma to his upper body, according to Oceanside Police Department spokesman Tom Bussey.
Shortly before 3 a.m., police officers responded to a report of possible gunshots near Libby Lake Park. When officers arrived they found a single victim lying in the street deceased.
Authorities identified the victim as a Hispanic male adult in his mid 20’s. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
