Escondido, CA–A man riding a bicycle across East Valley Parkway was struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday night.
He was crossing about 100 feet west of the intersection of Ash Street at about 9:10 p.m. when a westbound Honda Accord struck him.
The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the police. Alcohol or drugs are not a factor in the crash, and investigators are working to determine the cause.
The bicyclist’s identity is being withheld pending notification to the family.
